2. Walk and walk a lot!
You may have heard that a good goal to work towards is 10,000 steps a day, and that’s pretty accurate! Just walk to places you’d usually drive to and at night go for a walk instead of watching TV. Even walking around the house tidying up and putting things in their proper place (instead of stashing them in the junk drawer) can rack up a decent amount of steps. If you have a fitness tracker or pedometer (or a friend to borrow one from for a day or two) you’ll be able to judge pretty accurately after a couple days what a 10,000-step-day looks like. However, replacing your sedentary lifestyle with regular walking is sure to get you at least 10,000 steps!
