3. Get more sleep.

Now, it may seem counterintuitive, but sleep is critical to weight loss and your overall health.

As you sleep amazing things – biological things – are taking place in your body. Getting the right amount of sleep is essential after you start losing weight and exercising because during sleep your body produces the hormones responsible for tissue growth and repair.

Not only will you have more energy the next day, but a lack of sleep, or sleep deprivation, signals your metabolism to slow down and use less energy, which is the opposite of what your aiming to achieve when losing weight.

Lastly, a big concern for many of us is that we aren’t able to put down the mobile phone or tablet when we jump in bed. Research says this is the cause many of us are having such a hard time getting to sleep.

So go ahead, sleep your way slim, but don’t forget this is in conjunction with eating healthy and exercising regularly!
