Move of the Day: 180° Jump Squat

Jump-Squats-cardio-fat-burnThe “180° Jump Squat” is a great variation of the traditional “Jump Squat”!

I love this one because it really challenges you to not only squat but to get some air! We do this move all the time in my Monday and Wednesday group fitness workouts. Put on some fun music and create your own HIIT workout. Why not try it with some friends? Fitness is always more fun with lots of other people – I think!

180° Jump Squat

  1. Start in a deep squat with your legs just-a-bit wider than your hips with your toes slightly pointed outward.
  2. Jump up, spinning to the left 180-degrees (half circle) and land softly in a deep squat.
  3. Jump up again, this time, spinning to the right 180-degrees and land softly in another deep squat. This completes one rep.

Do 20 reps, alternating sides
