Butterfinger Protein “Milkshake”

Oh yes… this is totally about to happen! I am a massive fan of milkshakes. And I don’t mean protein shakes or smoothies, I mean unhealthy ice-cream-filled, full fat deliciousness. However, as you can imagine, with my fitness and nutrition on point, real milkshakes are pretty much off the menu. But not anymore! Finding ways to make protein shakes taste and feel like the real thing has been a little bit like a nutritional revolution for me. Now, there are a huge amount of recipes for healthy milkshakes and I will be sharing a few of the more shaketastic ones over the next few weeks however I wanted to start with one of my favorites! This protein packed shake with healthy fats and almost no carbs or sugars is a fantastic midday snack or late night tasty treat.

The Butterfinger Protein Shake!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla cashew milk (or any kind of milk!)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 (large) tbsp organic peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar free Butterscotch instant pudding mix

Directions:

Literally, throw it all (maybe not throw to save on clean up time) into a Nutribullet or blender, mix until smooth and enjoy! It is crazy how well this works. I have to state though, I am not normally a supporter of “sugar free” mixes like Jello puddings, that being said, very occasional use of small amounts (like a tablespoon) isn’t going to completely throw off your nutrition and health goals.
