I love the nutty flavor of the whole wheat pasta in combination with the broccoli rabe. Yum! This is a no guilt satisfying dish. You can make the pesto ahead of time – making week night dinners that much easier. This meal is fresh and incredibly flavorful. Add more chili flakes if you are a fan of heat.
I love the trick of adding pasta water to the final product. It really pulls together the entire combination. The sausage offers a decadent component to this beautiful dish. Choose your favorite sausage, pork or chicken…you can even choose a spicy version. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
