Ingredients
  1. 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  2. 1 pound lean ground pork
  3. 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  4. 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  6. 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  7. 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce (look for gluten-free)
  8. 16 leaves of butter lettuce or romaine lettuce
  9. 8 teaspoons plum sauce (look for gluten-free)
  10. 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  11. 1 lime, sliced into 4 wedges
Instructions
  1. In a large frying pan, heat oil over high heat and add pork.
  2. Cook, stirring until starting to brown. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in green onions, allspice, ginger, garlic and soy sauce.
  4. Cook until green onions are tender, about 2 minutes.
  5. Place 4 leaves on each plate and fill with pork mixture.
  6. Top each with plum sauce and cilantro. Serve with lime.
Notes
  1. ***Meat alternative: I personally am not the biggest fan of pork, so I substituted this recipe by using ground turkey instead of the pork. Equally delicious and almost precisely the same numbers. You can also use crumbled tofu or chicken mince.
