4 Tips for healthier holiday cocktails

Most holiday cocktails are packed with sugar and other hidden calories. These 4 holiday drink recipes and tips will help you cut the calories, but still enjoy the holidays.

4 Tips for a healthier holiday cocktail:

  1.  At the bar, keep drink orders clean and simple. Cut the soda and juices and instead opt for bubbly water (soda water).
  2. Ask for extra citrus fruit wedges (i.e. lemons, limes) and squeeze all the juice in the drink for extra flavor.
  3. “On the rocks” will slow down your drinking.
  4. Sitting usually leads to less drinking than standing; so take a seat!

One of our favorite drinks to order at the bar is vodka with soda water, “on the rocks”, with lemon slices. Enjoy!
