Most holiday cocktails are packed with sugar and other hidden calories. These 4 holiday drink recipes and tips will help you cut the calories, but still enjoy the holidays.
4 Tips for a healthier holiday cocktail:
- At the bar, keep drink orders clean and simple. Cut the soda and juices and instead opt for bubbly water (soda water).
- Ask for extra citrus fruit wedges (i.e. lemons, limes) and squeeze all the juice in the drink for extra flavor.
- “On the rocks” will slow down your drinking.
- Sitting usually leads to less drinking than standing; so take a seat!
