7 Last Minute Weight Loss Tips!

You’ve had the vacation on the books for months. You’ve known about this black tie event for weeks. You’ve known that your high school reunion is actually 10 days away. Yes, its crunch time. You may want to feel even leaner or sleeker for said event. Even though you’ve been busting your bum to hit your goals – here a few tips that can help you to look and feel even better!

  1. Protein Protein Protein
    Boost your metabolism and feel full by getting enough protein every day. The lean protein you eat will help build muscle too! That’s definitely what you want. Muscle burns more calories and the more muscle you are building you will need to fee them properly. We suggest starting off your day strong by getting 30 grams in off the bat. Breakfast smoothie, egg whites, Greek yogurt are some great options. How much protein you ask? This chart should help.

    Mix it up and get in at least 30 minutes of exercise each day. We suggest HIIT training, Pilates, Cardio, Yoga, & Cycle. Each of these will give you full body workouts in all very different movements. Keep your body guessing and you will feel the effects – and see them too!
  2. Proper Fuel
    We always say, and you know it’s true – The Key is in the Kitchen. That said, when you are down to crunch time like this you need only be eating aka fueling with what you need that means lean protein, high fiber vegetables and healthy fats (olive oil, avocado or nuts). With all the exercise you are doing your body will be craving healthy good foods – so fuel smart and see the results you want!
  3. Visually Imagine Your Goal
    This is so incredibly true. If you see it, believe it, then make it happen. We also believe wholeheartedly in vision boards. Yeah yeah they may be a bit corny, truth is they work. Put on your creative cap and grab those magazines collecting dust in the corner and create your future in photos and words. You will love the process and the results!
  4. No Eating after 7pm
    This is one of those things you hear all the time – you know why? Because it’s true. Give yourself time to burn off those dinner calories; you also want to give your dinnertime to digest properly. Be sure you are eating well during the day so you are not famished come dinnertime. By eating correctly during the day, you won’t feel the need to eat a ginormous dinner. Lighter dinner will ensure better sleep too.
  5. Focus
    If you seriously want to make these last minute tips count, then focus and get serious. If you are just going through the motions of the workouts, if you are nibbling on foods that you shouldn’t be, why bother. Get serious and focus – we promise you will be pleased with the results. This is really the take away to most things. Focus and be serious and see the change. Period.
  6. Count Calories
    We will repeat. Count your calories. Write them down. Be honest. Every single thing you put in your mouth, write it down. You would be surprised the amount of food you eat daily when you write it down. This is the single most effective method to weight loss. It’s called being accountable people. Own it. Learn from it. Move on with the knowledge.
