5 Habits for Afternoon Weight Loss Success

Plan ahead! When you are just starting your health journey, it seem like a chore to maintain it full time. Once you get into the swing of things, everything will fall into place and choices and planning will become second nature. We have some tips that will turn into habits in no time, which will be the foundation for the new healthier you and they are not too difficult to maintain at all!

1. Smart Snacks

Pretty sure any office you walk into will have a plethora of salty and sugary snacks, that 100% will do you a disservice.  Being prepared is the only plan we recommend. Take time the night before to prep your food that you will be eating the following day. Having smart snacks with you will reduce the temptation to deviate from your best laid plan!

2. H20 and Lot’s of Itdrink-more-water

Water is key for a healthy weight loss plan. Research has shown that drinking 16 ounces of water before meals is proven to help with weight loss. Aim for 8 – 8 ounce glasses a day. If you’re one who gets too focused in work and forgets too drink why not set a reminder to drink more.

3. Get to the Gym, No Excuses

If your plan is to workout after a long day at the job, take time to mentally prep yourself into completing what you intended to do. You have your gear with you – Great! Now focus on the healthy decision you have made to workout 5 times a week. Even though you really may not want to go, we promise the endorphins you will feel after are incredibly worth it. You will also feel proud that you did it!

4. Move It Baby

Being inside working all day and sitting for long periods is not great for your body or mind. Make an effort to take short breaks to get up and get moving. Heck, if weather permits, get you booty outside for some fresh air. You will come back feeling invigorated and ready to dive into the second half of your day!
