Recipe of the Day: Strawberry Crumble

Today is farmers market day. Well, I’ll be honest every day is farmers market day in the City of Angels. Monday is West Hollywood, Tuesday is Culver City, Wednesday is Santa Monica, you get the idea. Today’s market is my favorite. For 7 years I could literally walk out my office door and be 50 yards from the center of the hustle and bustle of farm fresh products. This is a well known farmers market for many many chefs in LA. It’s always fun to spot a celeb chef among the shoppers. If you are a fan of Top Chef, I have seen Marcel, CJ and Ilan more times than I can count. Needless to say its great fun.

Today I found the most beautiful strawberries – I could not resist. Look at these gorgeous berries! They inspired me to come up with a dessert for the July 4th festivities.  Enjoy!
