It’s never too late to recommit to your new year health and fitness goals. Often times we are gung ho and then quickly lose focus and fall of the fitness wagon. Good news. Today is the day to commit to you. It’s April 1st and we are moving into the second quarter of 2015. There is no time like the present to lock in your goals for the rest of the year.
I’ve put together a few tips that can help you set some goals – and most importantly achieve them
SMART Goals
Specific: Know exactly what you want to accomplish
Measurable: How will you know you met your goal?
Achievable: Make sure your goal is not too far to reach, but far enough to be challenging.
Relevant: Link to goal to something important, something that inspires you.
Timely: When do you want your goal to be met?
I have another tip for you. Yes set your big goals utilizing the tips above. I recommend setting smaller goals that you can achieve along the path to your large goal. A small weekly achievable goal that you can conquer and feel good when you check it off your list. Im thinking try a new fitness class, eat more vegetables or offer to volunteer. Keep it simple!
